Giraffe Magic Moment (ages 12+)

Please note, the last date to purchase a voucher guaranteed for Christmas is midnight Monday 23 December. Once purchased, we process and email over our vouchers manually. 

Our Keeper Experience office is closed for the festive season Wednesday 25 December - Sunday 5 January 2025. During this time, purchases can be made but vouchers will not be sent out until Monday 6 January at the earliest. 

We run this experience on both weekdays and weekends, excluding Tuesdays and Fridays.

Say ‘high’ to the tallest residents at Edinburgh Zoo – our Nubian giraffes! Get up close and personal with our herd of boys and feed them leaves and other treats. Learn all about these special creatures from the people that know them best, our expert keepers.

Please note, if you are looking for a specific date for your experience, contact us before purchasing any vouchers. We require at least seven days' notice for any bookings.

 Essential information:

• Vouchers have a one year expiry date unless stated otherwise. We advise enquiring for specific dates as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
  
• Max four people per experience (please note one voucher is required per person).
• We run the Giraffe Magic Moment every day at 12pm, apart from Tuesdays and Fridays, depending on availability.
• This experience lasts around thirty minutes.
• Price is per person and includes the participant's admission to Edinburgh Zoo.
• Keeper Experience vouchers are strictly non-refundable.
• All orders are issued as e-vouchers, aligning with our commitment to reduce paper usage and aid environmental conservation. We aim to dispatch all e-vouchers within two business days.
  Your e-voucher includes instructions on how to book your Keeper Experience.
  

Restrictions:

• This experience is available for participants aged 12 years and over only. Please see our other Giraffe Magic Moment package for those aged 6 – 11.
• Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an observing adult who will be required to pay adult admission cost.
• Please note the accompanying adult may be required to go behind the scenes during the experience with the participant and it is therefore not suitable for the accompanying adult to be supervising another non-participating child.

Regrettably, our Keeper Experiences are not suitable for certain guests including those with any relevant phobias or known allergies; pregnant women; and immunocompromised individuals. Whilst every effort will be made to accommodate those with a disability or learning difficulty, due to practicality and health and safety this may not always be possible.
